One of the best playgrounds in Tampere, a big free central play area suitable for toddlers up to ~12 (and even teens) with swings, a sandbox with toys, slides, a carousel and lots of ropes to burn off energy, right by the river with a small café/kiosk next door, works even in winter

A little worn in places; gets crowded at weekends and with teens in the evening

A great clip-and-climb space right by the train station with lots of different climbing towers and walls (three difficulty levels each), easy-to-use safety ropes even small kids can manage, and rooms for birthday parties and group catering, one of the best clip-and-climbs in Finland

Easily the best climbing place in Tampere and one of the best in Finland, with 28+ auto-belays, lots of top-rope and lead options, a nice boulder area and a good gym, fun routes (sometimes crack climbs with gloves and a community chalk pot), friendly staff and a nightly sauna; ~2km south
