A big, well-designed dinosaur-themed indoor playground (much more than dinosaurs) inside Entré, great for smaller kids from ~3, with lots of big and small slides, dress-up as a policeman or firefighter and an art atelier, easily a few hours of fun

Poorly managed at times — broken/missing toys, art atelier not always stocked, toilets not always clean; pricey for under-2s; closed Mon-Tue

A lovely, beautifully thought-out cultural play centre where kids run around, discover and meet known characters (Mumin, Bamse, Pettersson & Findus), with theatre shows, a story carousel (that even lets you choose your language), activities adapted to each age, a nice café and lots of toilets, easily 4 hours of fun; ~2km southeast

Floors can be slippery (bring grip socks); ticket a bit pricey; shows in Swedish; closed Mondays

A clean, spacious and well-run indoor playground with lots of fun activities for all ages, friendly staff, good safety and a café for parents, great for active play and birthday parties, handy beside Coop in Hyllie; ~3km southwest

An amazing, big climbing gym with a great variety of long, enjoyable boulders (lots of overhang plus some slab), accurate grading, one air-conditioned space, a big stretching/gym area, showers and a sauna, a nice café and super-friendly caring staff, climbing for everyone; ~2km southeast

One of the world's great skateparks — a Vans Park Series pro park — big and amazing to ride, with a few separate sections so there's room for beginners to grow while still challenging a full-blown pro (you can even boulder here); ~4km southwest

A newish, clean, bright volunteer-run climbing club with 15m-high walls, long routes changed often, a variety of grades, top-rope, lead and bouldering areas, rental gear and a warm-up area, super-reasonable prices and lovely friendly volunteers, good for kids; ~3km southwest (overlooking the football)

Sibbarp Skate & Activity ParkSkate / BMX / roller
A good outdoor skatepark close to the beach with all sorts of banks, quarter-pipes with slappy ledges, little bumps of different sizes and a big bowl with transfers, easy to stay in constant movement, a generally considerate younger-and-older crowd; ~5km west

A bit small so it can get crowded; concrete is rough (bring wax for the flat ledge)

A famous, huge free public skatepark near the coast and the Turning Torso with street, a bowl and a mini snake run, sculptures around it, plenty for beginners and pros, water, restrooms, shade and restaurants nearby, often not too busy; ~1km north
